Murtala Nyako
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday declared an impeached governor of Adamawa State, Rear Admiral Murtala Nyako alongside his son, Abdul Aziz, wanted.
Spokesman of the Commission, Mr Wilson Uwujaren, who announced this in a statement, said, “Both are wanted in a case of criminal conspiracy, stealing, abuse of office and money laundering.”
DAILY POST recalls that EFCC had in June last year frozen the bank accounts of Adamawa “in order to prevent the looting of the state treasury”.
