Nigerian Army says it has granted leave to 12 Army officers to face questioning at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, Acting Director, Army Public Relations, in a terse statement Thursday night, said the senior officers were 3 serving Major Generals, and one retired, 3 Brigadier Generals, 4 Colonels and 1 Lieutenant Colonel.
It added that at the end of the Commission’s investigations, those found culpable will be tried by a Military Court Martial.
The affected officers are believed to have been indicted in the ongoing probe of arms purchase under President Goodluck Jonathan.
