An unconfirmed report says a former Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Minister, Bala Mohammed has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Mohammed’s arrest may not be unconnected with the controversial N1trillion land swap deal carried out between 2010 and 2015.

Reports recently had it that the EFCC seized at least 12 properties from Mohammed and his son, Shamsudeen Bala.

The seizures were said to be part of the ongoing investigations into a controversial land swap deal carried out by the minister to the tune of N1tn between 2010 and 2015.

As at the time of filing this report, efforts to reach EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren to confirm the report yielded no result, as his mobile number was not reachable and text message sent to him is yet to be answered.
