The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday arrested former Taraba State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Sanni Abubakar Danladi over allegation of corruption, fraud and abuse of office.
Danladi was impeached last October by the Taraba state House of Assembly, days before his former boss, Danbaba Suntai crashed the plane he was piloting.
Parts of the allegations against Danladi include diversion of funds meant for projects under the millennium Development Goals (MDG).
He is accused of using the loot to establish a private school, Yagai Academy. The school is worth N1.3billion.
Dailypost gathered that operatives of the anti-graft commission at the Abuja office questioned Danladi till dusk yesterday.
Although, the EFCC is yet to make an official statement on the arrest, sources say the former Deputy Governor will be formally charged to court once investigations are concluded.
