The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested a former Governor of Kebbi State, Usman Dakingari, over allegations that he laundered N3.8billion from the state while in office.

Dakingari, who is an in-law to the late President, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, was upon his arrival at the EFCC headquarters around 10am today detained and is currently being interrogated by EFCC investigators.

It would be recalled that the anti-graft agency had earlier arrested Dakingari’s wife, Zainab, who was reportedly accused of laundering N2billion under her husband.

Meanwhile, several calls made to the mobile line of the EFCC Spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren went unanswered.
