The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday arraigned a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Rickey Tarfa before the Lagos High Court for alleged unlawful obstruction of justice.
The commission arraigned Tarfa before Justice Aishat Opesanwo on a two count charge he allegedly committed on February 5, 2016.
According to the anti-graft agency, Tarfa allegedly hid two financial crimes suspects, Gnahouse Nazaire and Senoue Modeste in his car from been arrested.
The EFCC also alleged that Tarfa unlawful had a telephone conversation with a judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Mohammed Yunusa.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to both counts.
Justice Opesanwo to rule on the accused bail application soon.
