Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the coming Edo election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu yesterday, alleged plans by the All Progressives Congress, APC-led government and INEC to re-write results irrespective of figures that emanate from the polling units.
He, therefore, demanded that, “party agents should not be allowed to see how voters vote; there should be safe distance. Illiterate voters should be assisted only by relatives, not by party agents.”
Ize-Iyamu also urged all eligible voters across the state to be calm and law-abiding, even as he assured them that their votes would count and be protected, on the September 28, 2016, new date for the governorship election in Edo.
He disclosed that on his part and on the part of the PDP, they have resolved to be law-abiding and to cooperate with necessary authorities to ensure a hitch free, free and fair election which is the prayer of all Edo people.
