Ex-militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, has again appealed to the Niger-Delta Avengers to stop their attacks on Nigeria’s oil and gas installations.
His media aide, Mr. Paul Bebenimibo, warned that with Nigeria’s critical state of economy, further sabotage on its main source of revenue will spell doom.
“I have said it again and again that destruction of oil facilities as it being done now by the group cannot help the economy and I am reiterating my call on them to stop to save the Nigerian economy from collapse,” he told New Telegraph.
It would be recalled that former members of MEND, on Friday also called for a halt in the blow up of oil facilities.
“We should give President Buhari the opportunity to fulfill his promises to the Niger Delta people by maintaining peace in the region,” they said in a statement on Friday.
