Elderson Echiejile will not feature for Monaco, when they take on Swiss side BSC Young Boys on Tuesday, in a UEFA Champions League first leg third qualifying round match.
The Super Eagles left-back, who has featured prominently for the Ligue 1 side in pre-season, was not included in the 21-man squad, that arrived at Berne on Monday.
No reason was given for the 26-year-old’s exclusion.
New signings Stephan El Shaarawy and Mario Pasalic, also failed to make the cut.
