Ebonyi government warns Ibeto group against illegal entry

Ebonyi State government has condemned in strong terms an alleged illegal entry of Ibeto group into the premises of Nigercem Cement factory Nkalegu, despite the fact that the dispute over the ownership of the factory is still in court.

In a release issued by the chief press secretary to the Governor, Dr. Onyekachi Eni, he said that by illegally going into the premises without the permission of the state government, the Ibeto Group had demonstrated an alarming desperation to acquire the God given mineral wealth of Ebonyi people for its selfish interest.

The statement warned Ibeto Group to desist from taking further steps that will threaten the peace of the host community of Nigercem and Ebonyi state in general, just as it warned the internal collaborators against their continued efforts to compromise and misinform innocent and uninformed villagers on the true state of affairs on Nigercem.

The statement further warned that Governor Elechi’s administration wouldd never allow the economic re-colonization of Ebonyi state under any guise.
