The Nigeria Immigration Service is intensifying border patrol in conjunction with other relevant agencies, especially in the northern flank of the country, following the outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease, EVD, in neighboring Mali, the service Comptroller General, David Parrandang has said.
The CGI disclosed this Saturday according to a THISDAY report.
He said all relevant agencies were on the alert despite the certification of the country as Ebola free by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
“We have been at alert ever since and will intensify our efforts in collaboration with other agencies at the border”, he said.
