Yero also urged Christians to use the Easter period to give glory to the Almighty God on the peaceful conduct of the presidential election and to pray for peaceful conduct of the remaining elections.

He added that “at this holy period when the entire Christian World mark the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, it is important to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice done for the sake of salvation of mankind as well as human love and peace”.

He said, “Christians should use this occasion to intensify prayers and devotion for God’s intervention on efforts by the people of Nigeria to surmount current challenges in order to evolve a peaceful and progressive nation. We give God the glory for seeing us through the presidential election and we pray for peaceful conduct of the Governorship election next week.

“I, therefore, believe that this Easter period provides us an opportunity to move closer to God by asking Him to forgive us all our sins, have mercy on us and grant us divine favor in resolving all our challenges as a nation.”

The Governor, therefore, called on Christians and Muslims to forge greater unity through prayers for national peace and stability.

He urged people in the state and the entire country to pray for better leadership in the coming years assuring them that God will surely uplift Nigeria and make the country great again.
