Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganguje, on Monday disclosed that he plans to rationalize ministries, departments and agencies in the state to save cost for effective performance, adding that the measure has become necessary because of the dwindling allocation due to the state from the federation account.

Governor Ganguje stated this while swearing in the newly appointed Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Rab’u Sulieman Bichi and the state’s Head of Service, Mohammed Auwal Na’iya at the Government House, Kano.

According to him, the re-organization would help to save cost and serve the people better.

“The re-organization is to increase efficiency, reduction of wastages and optimum utilization of our resources, our meager resources must be utilized in a very prudent manner.

“We must get people of high sense of responsibility, high sense of duty and people who will assist us to face the challenges we are facing today. I call on all civil servants in the state to bear with us and cooperate with us, “Ganduje said.
