DSS raids Senator Abaribe’s house in Abuja

Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), on Friday night raided the Apo Legislative Quarters in Abuja, home of Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe (PDP, Abia-South).

They arrived at the Zone E end of the estate and cordoned off the street around 5:45pm.

According to Punch, the operatives presented a search warrant to Abaribe and were there until around 9pm.

Abaribe had earlier in the day, been arrested by security operatives in mufti, who trailed him from the National Assembly complex, when he was leaving the premises on Friday.

The lawmaker, a former deputy governor and a ranking senator on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been critical of the APC-led government.
