DSS operatives end siege to National Assembly after Daura’s sack

Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have now left the National Assembly.

The personnel began departing at 2.47pm after the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo fired Lawal Daura, the Director-General of the organisation.

DAILY POST had reported that operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, blocked the entrance to the National Assembly, preventing lawmakers from gaining access to the chamber.

This led to the dismissal of the Director-General of the Department of State Service, Lawal Daura.

Daura was directed to hand over to the most senior officer of the State Security Service until further notice.”
