In its fight to curb immorality in its premises, the management of the University of Jos (UNIJOS), Plateau State have registered its disapproval on indecent dressing, warning that anyone caught would be arrested.

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Hayward Mafuyai disclosed this on Wednesday at the matriculation of new students into the institution.

Prof. Mafuyai said, “UNIJOS encourages all students to dress to acceptable standards. Undue exposure of the body parts that has the potential to infuriate the sensibilities of others will be severely sanctioned.”

He added that indecently-dressed students would henceforth be prevented from attending lectures.

He however congratulated the newly admitted students, urging them to focus on their studies and shun all forms of violence.

Prof. Mafuyai concluded that the large number of students applying to be admitted into the institution annually was a vote of confidence on its academic excellence.
