The U-23 national team, Dream Team VI, have touched down in Senegal, ahead of the U-23 African Championship.
A delegation of 21 players and 10 officials, arrived at the Leopold Senghor International Airport in Dakar at 1am local time aboard an Arik Airline flight.
They were received by the head of chancery Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Haruna Musa, on behalf of the Ambassador.
The team were then driven to M’bour, where they will play their first two group matches.
Midfielder Baure Yaro, told Completesportsnigeria.com that they were looking forward to their opening match against Mali.
“The first game is always important and we are looking forward to getting a win against Mali on Sunday,” he said.
“Our target is qualify for the Olympics and everyone in the team is focused on achieving that”, he added.
