Drama in DELSU hostel as snake disappears before students could kill it

There was a mild drama in the female hostel of the Delta State University over the weekend as a snake discovered by a student suddenly disappeared before it could be killed.

According to reports, a final year student of Micro Biology, Miss Adesuwa Erebor while trying to undress discovered something shiny like a millipede, but on closer look she found out that it was a brown snake.

Erebor was said to have quickly locked the wardrobe in an attempt to trap the reptile while her loud scream alerted other students and security operatives to the scene but when they got there and the wardrobe was opened the snake had disappeared.

She said, “I had left the room quietly and shouted for help, and some of my hostel mates rushed into my room but to their surprise, the snake could not be found in the wardrobe. We searched everywhere to know avail.”

It was further reported that sources from the institution disclosed that mysterious snakes do crawl around the students’ hostels especially during nightfall or when there is a power outage, adding that two of such snakes had disappeared when the students tried to killed them.

Some security operatives who opted to be anonymous said the frequent snake incidents were traceable to the overgrown bushes around the hostels.
