No fewer than 20 senior officers of the Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, have been redeployed across the nation.
The agency made this disclosure on Thursday in a statement published on its website.
According to the statement, the step became necessary so as to reposition the agency, ensure accountability, efficiency and performance for effective monitoring of the oil and gas sector.
The statement noted that the redeployment also affected some divisions at the DPR headquarters.
“Consequently, Mr. Alfred Ohiani, who previously headed the Engineering and Standards Division has been redeployed to head the Planning Division.
“Olugbenga Koku, who was Head of Planning, is now to replace Mr. Olumide Adeleke as the new Zonal Operations Controller of Warri.
“Mr. Adeleke is to head the Engineering and Standards Division at the headquarters in Lagos,” the statement disclosed.
The department further stated that all affected officers were expected to be at their new place of redeployment by Monday, September 28. .
