Dolphins appeal for CAF to move Club Africain clash

Dolphins FC have pleaded with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), to contact CAF to move their Confederation Cup first-round first leg tie against Club Africain of Tunisia from Saturday to Sunday.

The Port Harcourt side failed to travel on Thursday as initially planned, because of bad weather and a bonus row. They eventually left on Friday afternoon for Dubai, from where they will connect a flight to Tunis.

“We have approached the NFF to help us write to CAF so that our game can be shifted by one day for us to be at ease for the game. We have only resorted to that as an alternative because before the bonus row, we had problem with bad weather and it made the airlines to cancel and reschedule our flight severally. When we eventually did, we couldn’t meet up with our flight to Dubai,” coach Stanley Eguma told Goal.
