Dogara to meet Buhari today over budget padding allegations against him

President Muhammdu Buhari with today meet with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara over the 2016 budget controversy.
Jibrin recently accused the Speaker, his deputy, Yusuf Lasun; Chif Whip’Alhassan Ado Danguwa and Minority Leader, Leo Ogor of attempting to illegally insert over N40bn into the 2016 budget.
But the meeting which is scheduled at the instance of Dogara will take place after today’s Jumat prayers at the Presidential villa, Abuja.
Dogara’s meeting with the President will afford him the opportunity to explain his own side of the story regarding the ongoing budget padding controversy, Punch reports.
The report quoted a source as saying, “The President will be meeting with the Speaker after Jumat on Friday (today).
“The meeting will hold around 2.30pm in the President’s office.
“There is nothing unusual in the two leaders meeting. They do so regularly, but I know this one is at the instance of the Speaker.”
