Dino Melaye: Kogi youths ambush convoy, call Senator thief [VIDEO]

Convoy of lawmaker representing Kogi West, Senator Dino Melaye, was briefly blocked on Sunday in Kogi State by some protesting youths.

In a video circulating online, the youths clapped and repeatedly chanted “Dino, ole (thief).”

Dino Melaye was not seen in the convoy, but he is believed to be in one of the vehicles.

Meanwhile, the Senator has reacted to steps being taken by his constituents to recall him.

Melaye, in a series of tweets accused the State governor, Yahaya Bello of sponsoring his recall plans.

The tweets read: “Yahaya Bello: on recall of Dino Melaye, he is shooting the Moon and boxing the air.

“Spending over one billion naira tax payers money on an unproductive venture when salaries and pensions have not been paid is wicked.

“I will continue to defend the poor and defenseless masses of kogi state.

“If I die I die. We must rescue the state.”
