The Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, has reportedly booked herself on the same British Airways flight to London with the President-Elect, Muhammad Buhari, who was scheduled to travel to the United Kingdom on the flight, Sahara Reporters reports.
According to the report, the minister, who has been at the receiving end over her handling of the affairs of the petroleum ministry, had been billed to travel to the UK next week Tuesday but changed her schedule when she learnt that Buhari was traveling to London, instructing the airline to book her on the same flight with Buhari.
This, the medium sources say was to enable her have the chance of discussing directly with the President-elect.
The British Airways flight in question was said to have departed Abuja this morning at 9am.
According the report, a number of aides and close associates of the President-elect were surprised to learn of the trip since they were with him till 7PM last night shortly after he arrived from his hometown, Duara.
Quoting a family source, the report says Buhari was traveling to London for the weekend and will return to the country on Tuesday for the swearing in ceremonies.
