The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has disclosed the four major items, on the agenda of their 80th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Monday.
During the meeting, the schedule of activities leading to the 2019 elections was approved.
Earlier, Senator Kashamu Buruji and three others from the Ogun State Chapter were expelled from the party.
PDP also confirmed they will contest the result of the Ekiti governorship election that held July 14 and saw Dr. Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) announced the winner.
A series of tweets from their official handle, read: “The 80th NEC Meeting of the @OfficialPDPNig has ended here at the Party’s National Secretariat, Abuja. Members deliberated on matters of national importance and arrived at the following:
“NEC approved the schedule of activities leading to the 2019 General Elections
“NEC considered and approved the expulsion of Senator Kashamu Buruji, Mr. Samiu Sodipo, Engr. Bayo Adebayo and Hon. Segun Seriki from the PDP. The expelled members are from the Ogun State Chapter of the PDP.
“As a law abiding Party, NEC endorsed the decision of the Ekiti State PDP to challenge the outcome of the just concluded Guber Election at the Tribunal/Court, with a view to reclaim the mandate of the Party which was stolen by the failed @OfficialAPCNg at the election
“Finally, the 80th NEC Meeting approved the MOU entered into by the PDP and 38 other political parties. Consequently, NEC constituted a Committee to work with other stakeholders of the Party towards the overall success of all the political Parties in the Union.”
