Deputy Speaker decamps from APC to PDP, gives reason

A Deputy Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Bala Rabo Ayaga, has defected from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Ayaga, who worked for the victory of the APC in 2015, defected to PDP with his large number of supporters over the weekend.

Speaking in Lafia, the state capital, the Deputy Speaker claimed that APC was no longer a party that could lead Nigerians to the promise land, adding that the ruling party had performed far below their expectations.

According to Ayaga, “Better than APC of today, PDP of today is more organised and well grounded to take over the leadership of the nation since APC has woefully failed.”

Among the key personalities who joined him to denounce APC were Hon. Labi Osugebo, former deputy chairman Kokona LGA, Alh. Kanko Madage Bayero, Alh. Dauda Odumagbe, Hon. Musa Inaloko, a one time commissioner with the Nasarawa State Government, Alh. Suleiman Wabai, an APC House of Assembly aspirant.

Others were, Hon. Akajo A. Gyara, Hon. Alh. Usman Isa, Alh. Dauda Osaga, former DPM Agwada Development Area, and over five thousand of their supporters from APC from Agwada Development Area.

Receiving the decampees, the state Chairman of PDP, Hon. Prince Francis Enokela Orogu, assured them that they have been accepted as members.
