A local vigilante, popularly known as Agbor Gha-Ihun in Agbor Delta State, Thursday stripped two suspects and paraded them for allegedly looting property worth thousands of Naira at the Direct Labour Agency, DLA yard, Ime-Obi in Agbor.
The incident happened in the early hours of the day, DAILY POST reports .
The two suspects identified as Monday Ahie and Lucky Jegbefume were arrested by members of the Vigilante Group while carrying out the evil act.
The vigilante also recovered a thick armoured cable valued at Four Hundred Thousand Naira (N400,000) as well as three heavy duty batteries estimated at Eighty Thousand Naira (N80,000) each.
At the time of filing this report, the suspects have been handed over to the police in Agbor.
When contacted, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Mustafa confirmed the report, stressing that he has ordered the transfer of the suspects to the State CID for investigation.
CP Mustafa noted that the suspects were arrested at Agbor community as vandals.
According to him, “It is not going to be business as usual, except criminals relocate elsewhere from Delta State.”
The suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.
