Defeat to Shooting Stars won’t end Rangers’ NPFL title quest – Orji

Enugu Rangers defender, Kalu Orji, has insisted they are still on course to win their first Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title in over 30 years, despite losing to Shooting Stars last weekend.

The Flying Antelopes were beaten 2-1 at the Lekan Salami Stadium, a defeat that saw Rivers United overtake them at the top of the table.

With three matches left this season, Orji is adamant that Rangers can still emerge champions.

“Things didn’t go according to plan for us against 3SC and we are sad to lose the game,” he told Completesportsnigeria.com.

“But it’s not over for us as we have three games to salvage the season and become champions.

“It’s going to be difficult as the other clubs are desperate to win the title but we have to believe we can do it.”
