Debt allegation: I have settled with Mallam Yankee – Comedian Gordons

Popular stand up comedian, Godwin Komone, otherwise known as Gordons, says he has settled the alleged debt scores with the Chairman of the Bank club, Abuja, Kehinde Adegbite, AKA, Mallam Yankee.

Mallam Yankee of the Yankee Entertainment had said Gordons owed him.400,000 and was not wiling to pay.

According to Yankee, the comedian was paid ahead of one of his shows, but did not turn up, an allegation Gordons had since refuted.

But in a recent development, the duo siad they have now settled their differences.

They have equally called on their fans to put a stop to the media war.

The rib-cracker in a terse statement sent to DAILY POST said, “You see, Yankee has always been a friend and a brother. As human beings, quarrel is imperative. That way, we understand ourselves better.

”I think with this, I now know his temperament and he knows mine. However, I wish to stress that the main issue is really not about the fact that I was paid for a show and didn’t turn up, I think it was due to the communication gap between the two of us, particularly, when email, whatsapp and phone calls tend to misinterpret people’s disposition on issues.

“I and Yankee have now left the issue behind us. I was even at his last event, and he appreciated it. Thank God we have good brothers and friends who understand that these things are normal in the industry and always quick to intervene. In this industry, it’s only when we work together that we can achieve collective gains and greatness. Hallelujah!” Gordons said.

Mallam Yankee whie confirming the development, stated that all is now well between him and Gordons.

Yankee told DAILY POST that such misunderstanding was normal in the entertainment industry.

He said, “It’s really about misunderstanding and communication breakdown. Gordons has reached out to me as well as other heavyweights in the industry.

“We have re-established contact and back to business. Where there is no misunderstanding, there will be no peace. Peace actually results from squabble. I think I have already left the incident behind me, and all is now well between us. I think Gordons and I have a big surprise for Nigerians.”

When asked whether he will continue to invite Gordons for shows despite the misunderstanding, Yankee said, “I just said we are back to business. Just watch out. He was even at my last event, ‘Nite of a Thousand Laugh.’

“We quarrel so we can make up. Like I said, it was ultimately about misunderstanding. I now understand Gordons better, just like he understands me better now,” the Abuja socialite quipped.
