Nigeria’s longest serving editor, Mr Debo Adesina has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of The Guardian Newspaper.

The newspaper in a major shake-up of its senior staff also confirmed Mr. Martins Oloja as its new editor. Oloja was the acting Editor and had also served as the deputy editor and Abuja bureau chief.

A veteran journalist, Adesina before this latest appointment was the editor and deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper. He takes over from Mr. Emeka Izeze, who was the managing director cum editor-in-chief.

However, sources say Izeze retained his position as the managing director.
