Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has reacted to the way his uncle, Dr. Ademola Adeleke received his victory in the Osun West Senatorial rerun election.
During the weekend, a celebratory event was held in Ademola’s honour and videos surfaced on social media, showing the Senator-elect dancing.
The video got tongues tongues wagging as some said it was improper for a senator, while others thought otherwise.
Davido, however, in his reaction, described his uncle as the Nigerian Michael Jackson, noting that he had once acknowledged the Senator-elect in his song, ‘Owonikoko‘.
He wrote on Instagram, “LATEST SENATOR IN TOWN!! SENATOR ADEMOLA JACKSON NURUDEEN ADELEKE !! REMEMBER IN MY SONG OWONIKOKO.
“I SAID ‘AND IF YOU DANCE LIKE JACKSON OMO E KO KAN MI O’ THATS WHO I WAS TALKING ABOUT!! GOD IS GOOD!! WATCH US TAKE OSUN BACK!”
