The immediate past President, Goodluck Jonathan has described the late Ibrahim Dasuki as a nationalist who fought to ensure the peace and unity of Nigeria.
Jonathan said this yesterday when he paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased.
The deceased who is the father of detained former National Security Adviser, NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki(rtd) died on Monday in an Abuja hospital and was buried on Tuesday in Sokoto.
According to the former President, “He worked tirelessly to ensure lasting peace and unity in Nigeria, while without peace and unity there will be no development.”
Jonathan stated that the death of Dasuki was a national loss, adding that his words of wisdom would continue to be remembered by all Nigerians.
The former President also visited the sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III, at his palace while he empathized with the people of the caliphate over Dasuki’s demise.
