Nigeria’s senior men basketball team, D’Tigers, required overtime to beat Senegal 88-79 and qualified for the final of Afrobasket.
A highly interesting encounter, saw both teams end the last quarter 76-76 and D’Tigers had to struggle to edge out the Senegalese, who stopped them in the last edition.
The last time Nigeria made it into the final was in 2003.
They will now face hosts Tunisia or Angola for the trophy.
D’Tigers have only recorded one loss so far, which was their last group game against the Tunisians.
