The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, on Tuesday commiserated with star musician, D’banj and his wife over the tragic loss of their one-year-old son.

The toddler, Daniel Oyebanjo III died after drowning at a swimming pool in D’banj’s Ikoyi residence in Lagos on Sunday afternoon.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by his media aide, Segun Adeyemi, the Minister said although words can never be enough to console them, D’banj’s family “should take solace in the outpouring of sympathy from Nigerians”.

”My prayers and kindest thoughts are with you and your family at this trying time. May God give you the strength and the comfort that will see you through,” Mohammed added.
