CUPP alleges plans to arrest Onnoghen, appoint Justice Tanko Mohammed acting CJN

Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), has said they have uncovered a plan by the Federal Government to name Justice Tanko Mohammed as acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN.

The spokesperson of CUPP, Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, disclosed this on Friday at a press conference in Abuja.

He also said arrangements have been made to arrest the embattled CJN, Justice Walter Onnoghen, next Tuesday.

Ugochinyere said the arrest would be carried out shortly after a bench warrant would have been issued by the Code of Conduct Tribunal against Onnoghen.
