A middle-aged man, Odion Egbegbe, was Tuesday, killed by suspected cult members in Ose quarters, Ogida, Benin City, Edo State.
The deceased, who was a bricklayer, was dragged out of his apartment, shot and subsequently beheaded.
According to reports, his killing was similar to that of one Bright who was also pulled out of his shop just opposite Ogida police barracks and shot dead. This would be the second death in two weeks in connection with the renewed cult war in the city.
Confirming the killing, the Divisional Police Officer, DPO in the area, Mr. Lawrence Adejo, said the cult war was between the Eiye and Aye confraternity in the area.
