Nyesom Wike, Governor of Rivers State, has said the lives of cows are more important than that of human beings under the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government.
Wike made the remark while faulting Buhari’s handling ofsecurity challenges across the country.
Speaking when he received some bishops at the government house, Port Harcourt, the governor berated the president for not attending the mass burial conducted for the 73 victims killed during Fulani herdsmen attack in Benue State.
He noted that in some countries, the president would have visited the state to personally assess the situation, irrespective of the number of people killed.
According to Wike, “Human lives are not respected. In fact, the lives of cows and chicken appear to be more important than human lives.
“This has nothing to do with politics. Let us not trivialise the catastrophe that has befallen Nigeria.”
