The money Liverpool will miss out on as Midfielder Phillippe Coutinho leaves Barcelona for Bayern Munich has come to the fore.
DAILY POST had earlier reported that Coutinho joined Bayern Munich for €8.5 million on a season-long loan from Barcelona.
According to Mirror UK, Liverpool will now miss out on a huge £23million as a result of the Brazilian international joining the Bundesliga champions.
The Premier League giants received £105million upfront for the sale of the Brazilian international to Barcelona in January 2018 with an additional £37million set to be paid in instalments.
Coutinho won four titles at Barcelona since joining the club from Liverpool in January 2018.
The Brazilian played 75 games for Barcelona in all competitions and scored 21 goals, providing 11 assists.
“For me, this move means a new challenge in a new country with one of the best clubs in Europe. I’m very much looking forward to that,” Coutinho told Bayern’s official website after completing his move.
“I have big ambitions and I’m convinced that I can achieve them together with my new team-mates.”
