Liverpool will attempt to sign Real Madrid star, Karim Benzema if Philippe Coutinho joins Barcelona.
This is as Liverpool owners, Fenway Sports Group, have agreed to negotiate with Barcelona over the possible transfer of Coutinho.
The Reds have already rejected three bids of £70million, £90m and £118m for the Brazil international.
Spanish outlet, Diario Madridista claim Real Madrid striker Benzema will be lined up as his replacement if Barca were to secure his signature.
Klopp is a a huge admirer of the France international and is convinced he can help Liverpool win the Premier league title for the first time since 1990.
Klopp recently admitted that the future of Coutinho was out of his hands.
“It is the decision of the club; I think there is no doubt about that”, he told ESPN
“It’s not my decision, I’m the manager of the football team so when players are available, I coach them, and that is how it is.”
