Four persons who abducted a house wife in Warri, Delta State in 2011 have been sentenced to 85 years imprisonment by Justice Marshal Umukoro, of the Asaba High Court.

The accused persons, Daniel Barefo, Sunday Analue, Silvanus Mudiaga Onome, and Ezegbune Daniel, were arraigned on a four count charge bordering on conspiracy, kidnapping, armed robbery and illegal possession of firearms.

While delivering judgment, the presiding Judge, Justice Marshal Umukoro said the statement of the convicts shows that they committed the crime.

Umukoro noted that their statement was an indication of the role they all played in the kidnapping, adding that the victim also identified the first accused person.

The court stated that the testimony by the accused persons equally showed that the abduction was carefully thought out, hence they were sentenced to 85 years imprisonment with hard labour.
