A Magistrate Court in Port Harcourt has ordered that three suspected kidnappers be remanded in prison.

Alagbe Dimka, Otom Abeg and twenty year old, Junior Kadom were accused of kidnapping individuals for ransom in Obio-Akpor Local Government area of Rivers state.

The three men were therefore charged for offences punishable under section 2 of the Rivers state Kidnap Prohibition Law number three of 2009.

Chief Magistrate I.F. Iyabo transferred the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, saying that the court lacks jurisdiction to hear the matter because of its magnitude.

The matter has been adjourned till August 20, 2015.
