A Makurdi Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday ordered that a farmer, Terhile Chorum, who allegedly robbed travelers in a bus belonging to Flight Transport Company, be remanded in a correctional facility, pending legal advice.

Magistrate Ajuma Igama, who did not take the plea of the accused person for want of jurisdiction, ordered the police to duplicate the case file and send same to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.

Igama adjourned the case until Oct. 17, for further mention,NAN reports.

The Prosecution Counsel, Sgt. Ato Godwin, told the court that the defendant was arrested by a team of the Operation Puff Adder security personnel led by Sgt. Samuel Kwagh while on patrol on Gboko to Aliade road.
