A Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday rejected an application filed by a former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Olisa Metuh for the adjournment of his case as a result of ill-health.

The presiding judge, Justice Okon Abang, said the medical report was fraudulently smuggled into the court and did not give any reasonable explanation as to the nature of his illness.

Abang, however, stated that it was useless and only fit for the trash can.

He also declared that having abused his right, the court will no longer entertain any medical report from any doctor in Nigeria on behalf of Mr Metuh.

The Judge added that should the behaviour continue, he will be inclined to revoke the bail granted to Metuh.

The case has been adjourned to February 5 and 6, 2018.

Abang noted that all witnesses lined up by the defence must be in court on the said dates.
