A Lagos Federal High Court on Thursday ordered the interim forfeiture of Flat 7b no 16, Osborne Road in Ikoyi, to the Federal Government.

Justice Saliu Saidu, granted the interim order while adjourning the matter till November 30.

The judge held that the adjournment was to give any interested party an opportunity to come out and show cause why the property should not be permanently forfeited to the government.

Justice Saidu directed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to publish the order within 14 days in any of the national dailies to serve as notice to such interested persons.

The EFCC had recovered the sum of $43,449,947.00, €27,800 and N23,218,000.00 in the said flat.

EFCC last week invited sacked Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Ayo Oke for questioning over the sum discovered in the Ikoyi apartment.

The anti-graft agency also extended its summon to Oke’s wife, Folashade.
