The Court of Appeal sitting in Akure, Ondo State has dismissed a petition filed by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2014 governorship election in Osun State, Sen. Iyiola Omisore, challenging the victory of the incumbent, Gov. Rauf Aregbesola.
The Appellate court, which threw out Omisore’s petition on Thursday, went on to affirm the election of Aregbesola of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as validly elected governor of Osun State.
