Corruption: Orubebe opens defense at CCT


The former Minister of Niger Delta, Godsday Peter Orubebe on Thursday opened his defence before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).

Orubebe is facing criminal charges over alleged false declaration of asset and corruption.

The prosecution counsel, Mr. Moses Odiri, DPP of the Federation, represented by Ejike Augustine Orji (SSC), had closed its case against Orubebe on May 24.

On Thursday, Odiri appeared for the prosecution while Selekowei Larry (SAN) appeared for the defendant.

Orubebe’s first witness, Akinwunmi Ajibola, gave evidence before the CCT.
