Corinthians have become the first team, to lift the World Club Championship twice, after they defeated Chelsea 1-0, in Sunday’s final.
The first half ended goalless, after Cassio pulled off stunning saves to deny Gary Cahill and Victor Moses.
In the second half, the Brazilian side upped the ante and contested the game with the current champions of Europe. They got their reward, when Paolo Guerrero, nodded home the winner, with about 20 minutes left on the clock.
Cassio produced more outstanding saves to keep Corinthians in the game. There was late drama, as Cahill was given his marching orders, while Torres had a goal ruled out in injury time.
