Argentina captain, Lionel Messi, has hailed his team-mates’ maturity, following their 2-0 win over Qatar on Sunday.
Sergio Aguero and Lautaro Martinez both scored, as they qualified for the Copa America quarter-finals.
“We played a good game and we won, and that was what mattered.
“We needed a game like this to gain some confidence and calm.”
“As we play more games the team grows each one and that game was good for that,” Messi told reporters afterwards.
Next up for Argentina, who finished second behind Colombia in Group C, is a quarter-final match against Venezuela on June 28 at the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro.
