Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, has given his underperforming players three days off, following their 4-1 defeat at Watford on Monday night.
The Blues don’t have any match until next week Monday, when they welcome West Brom to Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
It is understood that some of the players have been complaining about Conte’s intensity and workload in training.
This is seen as a decision to give them a break and soften relations between the coach and his squad.
However, Conte’s future at the club remains up in the air, with bookies suspending bets on him getting sacked. The board is reportedly set to convene on Tuesday to discuss his future.
Former Barcelona boss, Luis Enrique, is the front-runner to succeed Conte should they decide to replace him.
