In continuation of search for Antonio Conte’s replacement, Chelsea are eyeing a deal for Laurent Blanc as they ease their interest in Maurizio Sarri.
Chelsea had reportedly reached an agreement with Maurizio Sarri to become their new manager.
The 59-year-old left Napoli last week after spending three years at the club.
According to Sky Italy, Chelsea had reached a deal “in principle” with him to succeed Antonio Conte.
But latest reports suggest the Blues don’t want to pay Sarri’s £7m release clause.
That clause expires on Thursday.
On Tuesday, Italy’s calcionapoli24 claim Chelsea are now eyeing up Laurent Blanc instead.
Blanc has not managed since leaving PSG in 2016.
