Diego Forlan scored a 51st minute winner for Uruguay, as the South American champions defeated Nigeria 2-1 in the Confederations Cup.
Diego Lugano opened scoring in the game, tucking away a deflected cross, before Mikel Obi equalised eight minutes before half-time with a fine finish.
Six minutes after the break, Forlan settled the game with a magnificent finish. The Internacional striker, who was making his 100th appearance, was on the end of a fine counter-attacking move and gave Vincent Enyeama no chance at his near post.
The result still leaves Nigeria in second position, but their final group game is against Spain, while Uruguay face Tahiti.
